What’s inside of an Executive Function Disorder?
Many of us have heard the term, but are confused about what’s inside of an executive function (EF) disorder. The EF disorder can be associated with many other disorders, or it can just be associated with a certain type of brain. If your child has been diagnosed with Executive Function Disorder, this diagram can help you identify the specific challenges that your child has. You can also use this diagram to identify and name the problems that you see your child experiencing as you get ready to ask for testing or support from your school.
Once your start recognizing the problems that make up executive function, you can prioritize ways to help your child. You can also Google a term in this diagram, and find ways that other parents and therapists have helped children become stronger in these areas.
